Job OverviewWe are seeking a compassionate Pediatric Dentist to provide comprehensive dental care to infants, children, adolescents, and patients with special healthcare needs in a supportive, family-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide preventive and restorative pediatric dental care
- Diagnose and treat oral diseases, developmental conditions, and dental trauma
- Perform pulpotomies, stainless steel crowns, space maintenance, extractions, and composite restorations
- Administer nitrous oxide and local anesthesia per state regulations and practice protocols
- Educate children and caregivers on oral hygiene, nutrition, and preventive care
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
- Collaborate with dental, medical, and administrative teams
- Follow HIPAA, OSHA, infection control, and Illinois regulatory requirements
- Participate in quality improvement and community outreach initiatives
- DDS or DMD from a CODA-accredited dental school
- Completion of a CODA-accredited Pediatric Dentistry Residency
- Active, unrestricted Illinois dental license
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Dentistry
- Valid DEA and Illinois controlled substance registration
- CPR/BLS required; PALS preferred
- 3+ years of pediatric dental experience preferred
- Strong communication skills with children and caregivers
- Commitment to trauma-informed, equitable, patient-centered care
