Senior Architect - Supporting Jackson, WY Projects
We are seeking a Senior Architect to join our Chicago studio, working primarily on Jackson, WY based projects. This role is part of our small Chicago-based team of designers who collaborate daily with the Jackson studio, providing dedicated design and project support across a range of project types.

The ideal candidate brings strong design leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to guide projects through all phases of the architectural process. As a Senior Architect at Northworks, you will lead key project efforts, mentor emerging designers, and contribute to the continued growth of our cross-studio collaboration model.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Lead and oversee the design and execution of complex architectural projects, primarily for the Jackson, WY studio, from concept through construction.
- Serve as a main point of contact for clients, consultants, and contractors to ensure clear communication and project alignment.
- Develop and present high-level design concepts, drawings, renderings, and presentations.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, deliverables, and team resources.
- Collaborate closely with small project teams of 1–3 architects or designers.
- Support the Jackson studio through consistent cross-office communication and shared design reviews.
- Foster a collaborative environment by contributing to team workshops, charrettes, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Mentor junior architects and emerging professionals within the Chicago studio.
- Participate in firm-wide initiatives, standards development, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution.
- 7–10 years of experience in architectural design, project management, and leadership roles.
- Architectural license highly preferred but not required.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, and other industry-standard tools.
- Experience working across diverse project types, including residential, commercial, and hospitality.
- Strong communication, organization, and client management skills.
- Ability to work in-person from the Chicago studio.
