Project Specialist – Workplace
Kahler Slater is seeking a Project Specialist (unlicensed Architecture graduate) with 3+ years of experience for our Chicago based team. Successful candidates are design forward, technically savvy, problem solvers.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities of a Project Specialist Project Development- Support architectural and interiors project teams
- Connect a project’s design intent with technical requirements
- Work in all phases of the project from concept through construction administration
- Bring your ideas while supporting the design approach, client service, and project delivery
- Thrive in an environment that encourages experimentation, innovation, and design creativity
- Represent the team with clients, industry partners, contractors and consultants
- Bachelor of Architecture or Master of Architecture degree
- 3+ years of experience on projects in a design firm setting with experience in corporate interiors or workplace projects preferred.
- Revit production experience within an office environment
- Proficiency with Bluebeam, Revit Rendering, and/or Enscape
- Interest or experience in software automation techniques preferred
- Self‑direction and independent work capability
- Successful team-orientation and collaboration behaviors
- Effective time management skills with multiple deadlines
- Strong communication skills, including spoken, written, and graphic communication
- Responsive to project team needs
- A positive and professional attitude
- Commitment to shared coaching, encompassing both instructing and learning roles
- Active progress toward architectural licensure
- Reports to Team Leaders and Project Managers
- Collaborates with project team
- Works independently, under the mentorship of team members
- Represents the firm in alignment with Kahler Slater’s core values
- Interacts at times with external clients and partners
Work is performed in a professional, collaborative, creative, open office environment within our Chicago studio, operating in a hybrid work model. Great flexibility in your schedule is both required of you and returned to you due to our many project deadlines. Occasional travel may be required for client engagements and professional development.

Compensation$65,000.00 - $80,000.00 annual salary
