Senior Specifications Writer

At Corgan, we are passionate about great design and great people. The Senior Specification Writer will join our Technical Design Services team in Dallas to uphold the highest quality standards for technical design and project specifications.

• Work with the design team to select appropriate materials and systems for various project types, including commercial, healthcare, aviation, education, interiors, multi‑family, and data centers.
• Write project specifications from Corgan master specifications and compile project manuals.
• Assist the design team with technical guidance during construction contract administration.
• Conduct product research and evaluation.
• Provide technical design assistance.
• Support construction contract administration for design studio staff.
• Mentor design studio technical staff.

• On‑site position, requiring independent work, meticulousness, detail orientation, and exceptional judgment.
• Excellent ability to communicate qualitative requirements for materials, products, systems, and workmanship clearly and concisely.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent.
• 15+ years of experience in the design & construction industry, with 10 years as a Specifications Writer.
• Experience in one or more of the following market sectors is highly preferred: commercial, healthcare, aviation, education, data centers, and interiors.
• Experience with Visi Specs software is preferred.
• Licensed architect, CSI CCS, or CSI CCCA required.

Dallas, on‑site, Monday through Friday during standard business hours. Full‑time.

Base Salary Range: $125,000 – $160,000 annually (Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York locations only).
