We’re looking for a Facility Designer who thrives in fast-paced, collaborative environments and is excited to bring restaurant concepts to life across the country. This is an opportunity to work on a major nationwide modernization program, influencing both remodeled locations and brand-new builds—all from the client/owner side.

What You’ll Be Doing- Play a key role in a large-scale restaurant refresh initiative across North America
- Design and optimize kitchen layouts and ordering spaces to enhance efficiency and guest experience
- Analyze customer and employee traffic flow to improve functionality and space utilization
- Create and revise construction documents in AutoCAD (floor plans, elevations, sections, details)
- Redline and update existing drawings to meet evolving project needs
- Coordinate with vendors, architects, and project teams to ensure design accuracy and execution
- Support equipment layouts including kitchen systems, plumbing, utilities, and service stations
- Ensure compliance with ADA standards and brand guidelines
- Partner with cross-functional teams (architecture, interiors, graphics, engineering) to deliver cohesive designs
- Contribute to branding and signage placement to maintain visual consistency across locations
- 2+ years of professional experience (non-academic) in design or drafting
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (this is a must-have)
- Proven experience with space planning or facility layout design
- Ability to read, review, and mark up technical drawings with precision
- Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, team-driven environment
- Motivated, proactive, and eager to take ownership of your work
- Experience in restaurant, retail, or commercial design
- Exposure to kitchen layouts or food service environments
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, Autodesk Design Review, or similar tools
- Interest or experience in branding and signage coordination
- Prime location in Chicago’s West Loop / Fulton Market—steps from amazing restaurants and city energy
- Hybrid flexibility: 3 days in-office, 2 remote (typically Tues–Thurs onsite)

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $31.00/hr.
