About the Role
Aleksandra Nova Design is seeking an experienced Technical Interior Designer to become a long-term extension of our studio.
This is not a production drafting role.
We are looking for someone who understands how luxury interiors are built and can translate approved design concepts into coordinated, construction-ready documentation.
Our projects include high-end residential, boutique hospitality, executive offices, and luxury commercial interiors throughout the United States.
Workload will vary throughout the year, making this an ideal opportunity for an experienced professional seeking an ongoing relationship with a boutique luxury design firm.
Primary ResponsibilitiesYou'll be responsible for developing and maintaining comprehensive construction documentation including:
Interior Construction Documentation- Demolition Plans
- Dimension Plans
- Floor Plans
- Furniture Plans
- Reflected Ceiling Plans
- Lighting Plans
- Electrical Plans
- Finish Plans
- Interior Elevations
- Interior Sections
- Demolition Plans
- Construction Details
Develop technical documentation for:
- Kitchens
- Bathrooms
- Closets
- Custom cabinetry
- Feature walls
- Fireplaces
- Reception desks
- Built-in furniture
- Custom furniture
- Decorative ceiling details
- Lighting integrations
- Stone fabrication
- Metal fabrication
- Upholstery details
- Architects
- Structural Engineers
- MEP Engineers
- General Contractors
- Cabinet manufacturers
- Mill workers
- Stone fabricators
- Furniture vendors
- Lighting vendors
During construction you will:
- Review shop drawings
- Respond to technical RFIs
- Revise documentation when required
- Resolve field conflicts
- Produce supplemental details
- Maintain drawing accuracy throughout construction
- 5+ years of technical interior design experience
- High-end residential experience required
- Commercial and hospitality experience preferred
- Experience producing permit and construction drawing sets
- Strong understanding of U.S. construction standards

- Interior construction methods

Your role begins after the design concept has been approved by firm's creative director.
You will collaborate closely with our creative team to transform approved concepts into technically coordinated documentation suitable for construction, procurement, and installation.
Your work directly influences the quality, efficiency, and successful execution of every project.
