Architect
An architecture firm located in Chicago is looking to add an Architect to their team!
This role focuses on leading specific technical design aspects of major architectural projects, from initial investigation and evaluation through to the recommendation of design solutions that best meet client needs. You will produce high-quality construction documents in both Revit and AutoCAD, support all phases of design and construction administration, and provide professional architectural consultation on large, complex projects. The position offers the opportunity to work on diverse project types—including healthcare, education, science and technology, and institutional work—while gaining experience across the full project lifecycle in a collaborative, supportive, and growth-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead specific technical design aspects of assigned major projects, including investigation, evaluation, and development of design solutions that align with client goals
- Produce detailed and accurate construction documents using Revit and AutoCAD, ensuring coordination and constructability across disciplines
- Collaborate closely with other team members on projects from concept through completion, contributing to schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration
- Provide professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large, complex projects across healthcare, education, science and technology, and institutional sectors
- Contribute to both ground-up and renovation projects
- Support construction administration activities, including responding to RFIs, reviewing submittals, and coordinating with contractors and consultants as needed
Essential Skills
- Master's degree or accredited bachelor's degree in architecture
- 5 - 8+years of post-graduate architectural experience
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Experience with healthcare, education (K–12 or higher education), and/or science and technology projects
- Experience with both ground-up and renovation projects
- On track toward architectural licensure is a plus, but not required
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.57 - $40.86/hr.
