VDC Manager I

Job
-18170 Pay Range: $97200 - $121500/annum. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
- Lead and manage BIM/VDC coordination throughout design and construction phases.
- Develop and maintain BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project-specific VDC strategies.
- Facilitate BIM kickoff meetings, coordination meetings, and project milestone reviews.
- Review architectural, structural, and MEP models to identify and resolve coordination issues.
- Manage clash detection processes and track issue resolution with project stakeholders.
- Coordinate with project teams, designers, subcontractors, and owners to ensure alignment with project requirements.
- Create and maintain federated models and coordination drawings.
- Support constructability reviews, virtual mockups, and model validation activities.
- Assist project teams with site logistics planning, quantity takeoffs, scheduling visualization, and model-based project controls.
- Generate RFIs and monitor resolution of model-related issues.
- Provide regular project updates and communicate coordination impacts to project schedules.
- Conduct field verification and site walks to ensure installation aligns with coordinated models.
- Produce visualizations, renderings, animations, and 4D simulations to support project delivery and business development efforts.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of VDC standards, workflows, and best practices.
Experience:
- Must have skills: BIM Coordination & Clash Detection, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Navisworks, Commercial Construction Experience, VDC/BIM Project Leadership
- 4+ years of experience in BIM, VDC, or construction coordination roles within commercial construction projects.
- Proven experience leading BIM coordination and clash detection efforts across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines.
- Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Revit and Autodesk Navisworks.
- Strong understanding of commercial construction processes, sequencing, constructability reviews, and project coordination workflows.
- Experience creating and managing BIM Execution Plans (BEPs) and project-specific VDC strategies.
- Ability to facilitate and lead BIM coordination meetings with project teams, consultants, and trade partners.
- Experience managing federated models, coordination drawings, and issue tracking through project completion.
- Working knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) and model collaboration platforms.
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules.
- Experience supporting RFIs, model validation, quantity takeoffs, site logistics planning, and virtual mockups.
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and solve complex coordination issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, BIM Technology, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
