Architectural Support
A full-service Architecture and Interior Design firm, located in the West Loop, is looking for additional Architectural support for the next 3-4+ months!
This role focuses on leading the production and coordination of complete Construction Document (CD) packages for multiple architectural projects, with a strong emphasis on healthcare and commercial work. You will use Revit to develop detailed technical drawings, maintain project documentation standards, and collaborate closely with project teams and consultants to ensure design intent is accurately translated into buildable documents.
Responsibilities
- Lead the production and coordination of comprehensive Construction Document (CD) packages for multiple simultaneous projects
- Prepare detailed plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and construction details that clearly communicate design and technical requirements
- Ensure all drawing sets are complete, accurate, and fully coordinated across disciplines, aligning with the overall project design intent
- Develop, manage, and maintain Revit models for assigned projects, ensuring consistency with office standards and best practices
- Assist in the development and coordination of project specifications in collaboration with project architects and designers
- Coordinate with consultants and external partners to integrate their drawings and information into the Revit model and construction document set
- Independently produce a full set of construction documents, from schematic layouts through detailed construction-level drawings
Essential Skills
- Degree in Architecture or a closely related field
- 5+ years of technical architectural experience, with a strong focus on construction documentation
- Advanced proficiency in Revit, including the ability to develop and manage complete project models
- Strong technical drawing and drafting skills, with attention to detail in plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and details
- Experience working on commercial projects, healthcare project experience is highly preferred
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Chicago, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.65 - $45.67/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
