Our Chicago office has an immediate opening for an Environmental Graphic Designer. You will workalongsidea teamof

Partners,Principals,Marketing Directors,Design Directors, Proposal Writers, and Designers to develop projects for transportation way finding, healthcare signage, hospitality, ritual, and international branded environments.

The Environmental Graphic Designerwillbeinvolvedinallphasesofthe  design process including concept, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration.

• Participationinalleffortsrelatedtoresearch&analysis,strategy&concept development, documentation, and implementation.
• Preparationofpresentationmaterialsandparticipationinmilestone&periodic meetings with ownership & consultant teams.
• Preparationofelectronicandfinalartfilesincludingtemplatesforfabricatorand design team usage.
• Participateandreviewshopdrawings,materials/colorsamples,mockupand punch list reviews, and all matters related to the construction administrationphase.
• Coordinatewiththeprojectdirectorandstewarddesigndirectionamongstall team members during the design process.

• Assist with project management in support of the project director or whenever necessaryandappropriateincludingtakinganddistributingmeetingnotesand coordinating project schedules.
• Assistwithproductionmanagementincludingwritingspecifications,soliciting& reviewing vendor bids.
• Designadministrationincludingfiling,maintenanceofprojectfolders,and preparation of storage files.
• Assistwithcoordination/supervisionofotherteammembersorsupportstaff.

• Identifyingout-of-scopeeffortsandalertingtheprojectdirector&marketing team to develop additional service requests.
• Supportnewbusinessfunctionsasrequiredincludingassistancewithresearch, proposal, and presentation development.
• Assessingandsharingnewbusinessdevelopmentopportunitieswithexisting clients with the marketing team

• Verbalandwrittencommunications,informationresearch,andtasksonbehalf of the client/project needs as deemed appropriate by the project director.
• Servingasclientcontactwheredeemedappropriatebytheprojectdirector.

• Bachelors Degreein Graphic Design ,Industrial Design,Architecture,orother related field.
• 1+ years of professional experience with planning, documenting, and managementofenvironmentalgraphics,brandedenvironment,placemaking, and way finding projects.
• Generalfamiliarityandexperiencewithphasesofworkfromconceptthrough construction administration.
• Generalunderstandingofcoderequirementsrelatedtoaspectsofwayfindingsignage.
• Abilitytoprioritizeandconcurrentlyservicemultipleprojectsinafast-pace working environment.
• Excellentcommunicationandpresentationskills.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator,InDesign,PhotoshopandCADtools).
• Someknowledgein Sketch Up ,Revitorother3
