Summer BIM/VDC Internship
This is an onsite/hybrid role at one of the VIATechnik Offices (Chicago, NYC). Open to remote. US work authorization is required.
VIATechnik is on a mission to lead the built environment in creating a better future, today. We are one team of over 500 digital experts around the globe. Our team is a quickly growing group of committed architects, engineers, tradespersons, researchers, and business leaders. Together, we empower clients through high-quality, high-velocity experiences that consistently improve outcomes across the design, construction, and operations of buildings and infrastructure.
Our clients include Amazon, Mars Wrigley, and National Geographic, the firms shaping the world's most ambitious projects.
Role Overview
Our Summer BIM/VDC Internship is designed for students who want real exposure to how complex buildings are actually delivered - and who want to build skills that set them apart before graduation. Interns work alongside experienced BIM and VDC professionals on active projects, gaining visibility into multiple trades, coordination strategies, and client-facing workflows that most students don't see until years into their careers.
By the end of the program, you won't just understand how models are built - you'll understand how they drive decisions, solve problems, and shape real construction outcomes. If you're curious, motivated, and want a head start in a high-demand field, this internship gives you a meaningful edge.
