Salary:
The budgeted salary range for the position is $500,000 to $650,000. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable jobs.

About the Division of CardiologyThe UIC Division of Cardiology is nationally recognized for excellence in the evaluation and management of cardiovascular disease. The Division strives to be a leading translational research program by leveraging its extensive talents in basic and clinical sciences to benefit patients. Through this approach, patients receive the most advanced care, and trainees develop the skills necessary to shape the future of medicine—grounded in superior science and a commitment to paramount patient care.
The division delivers more than 24,000 outpatient visits and performs approximately 9,000 echocardiograms annually, while offering a full spectrum of ambulatory and inpatient cardiovascular services.
- Comprehensive outpatient and advanced diagnostic services, including lipid profiling, cardiac imaging, and stress testing.
- Specialized centers such as the Atrial Fibrillation Center, Cardiac Catheterization Lab, Cardiomyopathy and Heart Failure Program, Cardiovascular MRI Lab, and Electrophysiology Services.
- A strong educational footprint with four fellowship programs and extensive training for medical students, residents, and fellows.
- A robust research environment, including the Center for Regenerative Medicine in Cardiology and numerous NIH funded programs in atrial fibrillation, stem cell biology, myocardial regeneration, and cardiovascular genetics.

The Division Chief will provide strategic, academic, and operational leadership for all activities within the Division of Cardiology, ensuring alignment with the missions of the Department of Medicine, College of Medicine, and UI Health. The successful candidate will be an accomplished leader with a national reputation in cardiology, demonstrated excellence in clinical practice, a strong record of research or scholarly activity, and a commitment to advancing education and mentoring.
