Position: Excellent Opportunity for retinal surgeon: 100% physician

We are offering an outstanding opportunity for a fellowship-trained vitreoretinal surgeon to join a very busy, private-practice retina group. This well-established retina practice is 100% physician-owned with a long-standing group of partners and no plans to pursue private equity. It has five retina specialists and needs a highly motivated, well-trained physician for continued growth. The position offers an excellent guaranteed base salary, a generous production incentive bonus, and exceptional benefits within a partnership track ($450k+ as associate).

The new associate will assume a full practice within several busy offices with continued growth potential. The practice has > 50,000 patient visits annually, and each surgeon currently performs 4-6 major surgeries per week in addition to numerous pneumatic retinopexies, intravitreal injections, and laser procedures.

This large practice has 7 well-maintained offices in the Chicago suburbs and northwest Indiana, with state-of-the-art equipment for each office. The new associate will enjoy a stable, highly trained office staff, including scribes. Shared call responsibilities among the physicians permit a flexible lifestyle, with no hospital ER call and attractive business hours.

The practice is located in the suburbs of the Chicago metropolitan area. Chicago offers world-renowned museums, performing arts, restaurants, and universities with two major airports. Diverse communities in the area offer top-tier schools, a wide variety of activities for children, and a cosmopolitan nightlife. In the surrounding region, wonderful lakeside retreats, numerous state parks, and other outdoor activities abound.

Benefits:
  • Annual stipend for CME meetings/travel
  • 5 paid weeks vacation annually
  • Family health and dental insurance
  • Medical malpractice insurance, license fees
  • 401k retirement package with corporate matching program
