Our client, a prominent company within the healthcare industry, is seeking a distinguished and innovative Chief Medical Officer (CMO) to lead their Clinical Hydration Solutions platform and expanding ancillary service lines. This exciting opportunity awaits a forward-thinking geriatric physician committed to elevating clinical credibility and innovation within the long‑term care, post‑acute, and senior living sectors.
Key ResponsibilitiesFractional to start - The CMO will devote 75‑80% of their time to the Clinical Hydration Solutions and 20‑25% to developing new service lines.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and refine the clinical framework to align with geriatric care principles and best practices.
- Provide strategic clinical guidance in collaboration with the President and COO.
- Lead evidence development, quality improvement initiatives, and research protocols.
- Engage in professional relations, representing the client as an industry leader in geriatric care.
- Establish and lead a Physician Advisory Council to foster clinical innovation.
- Collaborate on the development and clinical strategy of new geriatric‑focused services, including respiratory and deprescribing initiatives.
- Ensure clinical defensibility and strategic alignment of new business lines.
- Support the design of pilot programs and scalability across state expansions.
- Serve as the supervising physician as needed, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Maintain multi‑state licensure where necessary and actively engage with medical associations and conferences.
- Board certification in Geriatrics or Internal Medicine with significant PALTC involvement.
- Proven leadership within the long‑term care medical community.
- Experience presenting at regional or national conferences and involvement in clinical research or academic publication.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, strong communication skills, and a faculty appointment is preferred but not required.
- Willingness to pursue multi‑state licensure and integrate into executive leadership long‑term.
