Job Title: Math Teacher
Department: Academics Classification: Exempt
Reports to: Principal Schedule: 10 Months
Cristo Rey Jesuit High School, a Jesuit, college-preparatory, co-educational school for grades 9-12 seeks a Math Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The successful candidate will have a commitment to Catholic education and a willingness to work with a population of diverse learners. Additionally, the teacher is dedicated to developing the whole person in academics, religious growth, and commitment to others.
The candidate will be responsible for teaching five sections within the Math department, subjects commensurate with experience and staffing needs.
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in the subject area required;
Master’s degree preferred - Illinois Professional Educator License preferred (non-licensed applicants must be willing to obtain certification within five years)
- Minimum of two years of successful secondary-level teaching experience preferred
- Opportunity available to serve as Math Department Chair for qualified candidates
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
- Alignment with the mission and values of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School and a demonstrated ability to effectively support the academic and personal growth of students
- Understanding of educational theory and practice.
- Ability to use technology inside and outside the classroom.
- Commitment to working with a diverse student body.
- Familiarity with Spanish language and first-generation students preferred.
- Willingness to collaborate with others.
- Familiarity with current instructional methodologies.
- Classroom management skills.
Compensation: Commensurate with relevant teaching experience and established Faculty Compensation schedule.

Christo Rey Jesuit High School was founded in 1996 and provides a Catholic, college preparatory education and professional work experience to students from Spanish-speaking families across the southwest side of Chicago. To make the school sustainable and affordable, Cristo Rey Jesuit pioneered the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP). The CWSP enables students to earn a portion of their annual cost of education by working one school day a week at a corporation in the Chicago area.
