The standard teaching load for non-tenure track faculty is 12 hours per semester (four courses).
Successful candidates will hold an earned Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in Organizational Leadership, Organization Development or a closely aligned field from an accredited institution. Candidates who are ABD at the time of application will also be considered if in a position to complete their doctorate no later than the start date of August 15, 2026. Candidates must have experience teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels and in multiple modalities, including online.
Candidates must be committed to working for the professional success of all students.
The person who fills the open position must demonstrate a passion for innovative, student-centered applied and experiential-oriented teaching and be able to contribute to the strong teaching reputation of the department's faculty. Faculty are expected to teach in both traditional classroom and online modalities. We seek a candidate who can create new courses as the department innovates and grows, and to incorporate innovative pedagogical approaches into their teaching.

The faculty of the People, Organizations, Experiences and Management (POEM) have diverse research interests and teaching backgrounds, covering a wide range of topics in management, leadership, training and development, instructional technology, human resources and entrepreneurship.
The duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
* Providing instruction to undergraduate/graduate students both in-person and online courses.
* Maintaining, developing and scheduling student learning experiences to achieve desired learning outcomes.
* Planning, developing, and implementing evaluation tools to assess student process towards course learning objectives.
* Using learning management systems, such as Blackboard Ultra.
* Participating in university, college and departmental level service.
Candidates must teach the required course load and meet university service requirements.
