Student Ambassador

Position Purpose

The Student Ambassador assists with supporting Heartland campus team members with campus engagement efforts. This includes coordinating events and activities, answering questions about Heartland, promoting externships and employment opportunities.

• Partner with Director of Campus Relations to execute on various activities.
• Partner with Director of Campus Relations to respond to all inquiries regarding HVP, including but not limited to events, sponsorship, externships, job opportunities, etc., in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
• Complete at least one externship throughout ambassadorship.
• Respond in a timely manner (within 48 hours) and maintain clear communication with Director of Campus Relations (e.g., email, event requests, corporate engagement policy and changes).
• Promote Heartland opportunities, including but not limited to events, externships, and employment to all 1st through 4th years.
• Promote Heartland through appropriate social media outlets (Insta: #hangingwithheartland).
• Attend and participate in annual student ambassador retreat, monthly meetings, and all campus events (lectures, career fairs, socials, etc.).
• Update and maintain advertisement (flyers) throughout clinics and veterinary school if allowed.
• Partner with Director of Campus Relations to choose and train new Ambassadors on the role and responsibilities of being a Heartland Student Ambassador.

• Enrolled in an AVMA accredited Veterinary Medical program.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail.
