Wheaton Bible Church (WBC) is a dynamic, thriving multiethnic church community seeking to live out our mission to Love God, Love One Another, Love our Neighbors, and Love the Nations in the Chicago suburbs and globally with our 90+ sent missionaries and indigenous partners. We currently hold worship services in both English and Spanish while providing space, care, and leadership coaching for 5 additional ethnic language fellowship groups.

Additionally, we serve our local community through West Chicago’s largest social service provider Puente de Pueblo by providing case management services for families, adult literacy programming, and after-school programming for children and youth.

The Men's Ministry Pastor will lead in such a way that the ministries he's leading support the Purpose, Values, and Mission of Wheaton Bible Church – Love God, Love One Another, Love our Neighbors, and Love the Nations. He will give direction to all aspects of ministry, including the development and execution of an annual ministry plan, bible study groups, men’s ministry enhancement events, leadership recruitment and development, teacher development, and curriculum identification and development.

Additionally, he will hold the role of the Adult Ministry Team Lead, cultivating culture and providing vision and direction to the Adult Ministries. He will also serve as part of the Adult Ministry Team focused on holistic discipleship of adults and serve with an 80/20 Mindset (80% Ministry specific focus / 20% joint focus on Adult Discipleship).

Requirements
  • At least ten years of pastoral ministry experience preferably in a large church.
  • At least five years ministry experience in Men’s Ministry in a large church.
  • At least three years of experience in a supervisory role.
  • Ordained as a Pastor preferred or willingness to go through the ordination process
  • Master’s degree in Bible/Theology or a Master of Divinity preferred.
  • Possess the following values:

  • Possess the following gifting:
    • Demonstrates Spiritual gifts of leadership, shepherding, preaching, teaching, and discipleship.
    • Demonstrates active disciple making.
    • Recruiting, training, overseeing, and developing lay leaders.
    • Supervision, leadership and/or administration of staff and lay leader teams.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with a wide range of situations.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and engaging speaking skills.
    • Proven organizational skills and strengths in goal setting, management, and reporting.
  • Alignment with and commitment to assisting the ministries of the church in fulfilling our mission, vision, and values.
  • Acceptance and agreement with WBC Statement of Doctrine and Faith and WBC Statement of Christian Lifestyle.
  • Become an active member and participant in the life of WBC.
