AMT Instructor

The Aviation Institute of Maintenance operates 15 FAA-approved airframe and power plant schools across the United States. The institute provides comprehensive training for students to earn their FAA Mechanic's Certificate with ratings in Airframe and Powerplant. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chicago, IL, for an AMT Instructor. The AMT Instructor will be responsible for preparing and delivering lesson plans, teaching aviation maintenance theory and practical skills, and providing hands-on training to students. The instructor will also collaborate with the education team to ensure the program meets FAA standards and fosters a positive and engaging learning environment for students.

• Proficiency in Lesson Planning and curriculum development
• Experience in Education and Training, particularly in aviation maintenance
• Strong Communication and Teaching skills to effectively connect with students
• FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings
• Commitment to fostering a supportive and successful learning environment
• Previous experience in the aviation industry is highly beneficial
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles
