Job Duties (all positions)- Weekly instruction in face-to-face lecture, discussion and/or laboratory
- Regular interaction with other course instructors and course coordinator as applicable
- Successful retention of students by means of effective pedagogy
- Clear and timely communications
- Timely submission of all grades

The salary for each 3 credit course is $3,982. Instructors may be assigned to up to two course sections per semester.

Skills and Abilities
Required
- A Master’s Degree in biological science, health science, biochemistry, chemistry or related field.
- Prior experience teaching at the university level.
1-2 years teaching at the university level.
Required EducationMaster’s Degree.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience working with at-risk and/or first-generation college students.
- Experience teaching the specific courses described above.
Basic office/classroom equipment (desktop computer, laptop, overhead projector, office copier) and specialty equipment as required for laboratory instruction.
Working ConditionsNormal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required, especially in laboratory sections (typically less than 10 pounds).
