Continuing Education Instructor – Part‑Time Wilbur Wright College About City Colleges of Chicago
C City Colleges of Chicago (CCC) is made up of seven colleges, the largest community college system in Illinois and one of the largest nationally. We provide more than 80,000 students each year access to a quality, affordable education. CCC supports students in meeting their goals – whether that is pursuit of a credential to head into or advance in the workforce, an associate degree with the intention to transfer to a four‑year college, free GED or ESL courses, or continuing education.
PrimaryObjective
We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Part‑Time Continuing Education Instructors to teach a variety of courses to adults across disciplines including, but not limited to, languages, technology, business, arts, trades, and personal development. The ideal candidate will possess substantial professional experience in their subject area and demonstrate a passion for facilitating engaging and practical learning experiences. These positions are both online and in person.
Our campuses are at 4300 N. Narragansett Ave. and 1645 N. California Ave.
- Develop and/or teach courses to meet learning outcomes and promote students’ active participation in their own learning.
- Create an effective learning environment that fosters students’ intellectual curiosity and help students problem‑solve using discipline‑specific strategies.
- Employ a variety of formative and summative assessments to ensure that classroom instruction leads to student learning and achievement of learning outcomes.
- Help students reach their academic, personal, and career goals while fostering a safe environment that respects diversity and encourages confidence in every student’s ability to learn.
- Adhere to City Colleges of Chicago code of ethics, Board rules, and policies.

Skills:
Basic, Advanced, AI - Business and entrepreneurship
- Arts and creative practices
- Fitness Classes such as Yoga, Pickleball and others
- Extensive experience in the subject area(s) to be taught.
- Academic credential appropriate to chosen field.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to create a positive learning environment and adapt to diverse student needs.
- Proficiency with technology and instructional tools.
- Coaching, mentoring, or training experience.
- Industry certifications related to the course content.
- Experience developing curricula or training programs.

Additional Information- Salary Range: $25−$35 per hour
