Studio Assistant - Student Employment

The Advanced Studio Assistant is accountable for advanced maintenance of Visual Art Center Studios and advanced assistance to faculty and students in those studios.

• Assist Studio Manager with maintenance of studios and laboratories
• Troubleshoot and provide assistance with a variety of advanced studio issues.
• Print large documents for other departments throughout the university as needed.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

• Must be a student at Saint Xavier University.
• Must be Federal Work Study eligible.
• Must include a resume and cover letter.
• Ability to work independently to identify, diagnose, resolve problems in a range of studios and communicate the problem and resolution to the appropriate stakeholder(s).
• Minimum of four art or design courses required and be in good academic standing.
• Advanced understanding of techniques and maintenance in at least three of the following studios:
  Ceramics, Laser, Wood, 3‑D Printing, Painting, Printing, and Mac Lab.
• Knowledge of Adobe Suite.
• Demonstrated skill in professional speaking, writing and visual communication.
