Assists with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Simulation and Integrative Learning Institute (SAIL) in the College of Medicine including staff, delegation of work, training, planning, policy development, budget, finances, and new business development.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assists in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Simulation and Integrative Learning Institute in the College of Medicine.
  • Assists in creating, interpreting, developing, and implementing policies and procedures, provides primary support to the Director and Associate Director of SAIL, and must be able to assume full direction of administrative and operational matters in the absence of the Associate Director.
  • Assists in the development and testing of innovative Human‑Based simulation approaches. Leads the development and implementation of simulation programs, workshops, and one‑on‑one consultations.
  • Assists with new project development, project proposals, and staffing requirements.
  • Participates in the recruiting, orientation, and evaluation of HBS employees. Manages HBS personnel, including orienting, leading, mentoring, and evaluating staff to meet SAIL and organizational needs.
  • Prepares and manages project budgets and prepares related financial reports as needed.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.



Minimum Qualifications

Required:

  • Demonstrated prior experience as a standardized patient trainer.

Master’s Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience.)
