Job Description Summary
The budgeted salary for this position is typically $1,000 per credit hour.
This position is ineligible for health, dental, and life insurance benefits through Chicago State University.

Duties:
Teach fiber arts related studio courses including weaving, off-loom textiles, and dyeing. The theoretical framework for these courses resides in the fine arts with a strong emphasis in proficiency in fiber processes. Office hours and studio management are part of the required work load.
Required Education
MFA in a related art discipline
Required Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
Candidate needs a strong studio foundation in weaving, off-loom processes, and dyeing including surface design. Broad knowledge of historical and contemporary textile practices.
Ability to work in a collaborative environment and manage a studio.
Ability to teach and mentor a diverse student population.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching courses at the college level in this content area.
Experience teaching, doing community work or other relevant experiences with a diverse population.
