About the Role:Join TOTUS LINGUA as a Part-Time Spanish Teacher for 6th-8th students in Chicago, IL. Inspire young minds to embrace the Spanish language through engaging and interactive lessons in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement creative lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Facilitate engaging classroom activities that promote language acquisition and cultural appreciation.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to enhance learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to create a cohesive learning experience.
- Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
- Attend professional development workshops to enhance teaching skills and methodologies.
- Incorporate technology and multimedia resources to enrich the learning experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Spanish, or related field preferred.
- Previous teaching experience, particularly with PreK-8 students, is highly desirable.
- Strong proficiency in Spanish and English, both written and spoken.
- Ability to create a dynamic and engaging classroom environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for teaching and fostering a love for languages in young learners.
- Flexibility and adaptability in teaching methods.
- Current teaching certification or license in the state of Illinois is a plus.
