Overview
Kido International Preschool is opening two brand-new campuses in River North and West Loop. We’re looking for passionate, dedicated founding team members to help bring our vision to life as Lead Teachers.
What You’ll Do- Inspire learning using our thoughtfully designed, easy-to-implement curriculum to deliver engaging lessons that spark curiosity and foster a love of learning.
- Multitask with purpose by supporting the growth and well-being of each child through responsive care, balanced routines, and effective classroom management.
- Build strong relationships by partnering with families and children through open communication and meaningful daily interactions.
- Collaborate with your team to create a joyful, purposeful classroom culture that supports every child’s development.
- Make a lasting impact by supporting children’s social, emotional, and academic growth in a nurturing, inclusive environment.
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must meet Illinois DCFS qualifications for a Lead Teacher, typically including:
- 60 semester hours (or 90 quarter hours) of college credit with at least 6 semester hours in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, OR
- A CDA (Child Development Associate) credential, OR
- An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Experience teaching in a licensed preschool setting
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- 5–10 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting
- 2–3 years of experience in a Montessori or Reggio-inspired environment
