Position: Kindergarten Teacher, Alpha - $120,000/year USD

Overview

An AI can teach a six-year-old to read. It cannot make her care. That gap is where you come in. At Alpha, students in grades K–2 complete their academic learning through AI-driven applications in two hours each day. No lectures. No worksheets. Half your time is spent facilitating one-hour life-skills workshops focused on public speaking, focus, and feedback skills. A playbook guides you, but top performers tailor it to their group and create new activities when gaps appear.

The remaining half is spent coaching students individually or in small groups, analyzing Coachbot data, and ensuring each child reaches 100% of their weekly app targets. Warmth opens the door to high expectations. High expectations communicate belief. A successful quarter means every student achieves their weekly app goals, passes the Test2

Pass for every life-skills workshop, and 90%+ report they love you. Fall short on any of those three and the role wasn t fulfilled. Your first year is about mastering the playbook; once you demonstrate you can maintain the standard, the opportunity to advance to Lead Guide opens, where you mentor new hires while continuing to lead your own cohort.

If traditional teaching appeals to you, you prefer ready-made curriculum, or you see warmth and rigor as incompatible, this role is not a fit. If you have thrived as an early-elementary teacher who excelled at circle time, a camp counselor for young children, a youth sports coach, or a children s theater performer, the final step before receiving an offer is a shadow day coaching actual Alpha students.

Apply today.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Facilitating one-hour life-skills workshops for K-2 cohorts on public speaking, focus, feedback, and other foundational skills, tailoring the playbook to fit your group rather than following it verbatim.
  • Conducting daily 1:1 and small-group coaching sessions that keep every student on track to meet weekly app goals, leveraging Coachbot analytics, Alpha s incentive tools (school currency, leaderboards), and the trust you ve established with each child.
  • Administering the Test2

Pass, Alpha s mastery-based evaluation, for each life skill, and supporting students who do not yet pass until they achieve mastery.
  • Meeting kindergarteners at their developmental level with songs, stories, physical activity, and playfulness while maintaining real, quantifiable expectations for first and second graders.
  • Being the caring adult kids are excited to see at drop-off and the adult who will not accept less than their best effort.
What You Won’t Be Doing
  • Delivering lectures from the whiteboard. Academic content is delivered through the apps, not by you.
  • Building curriculum from the ground up. Alpha supplies the playbook and you animate it.
  • Passively monitoring kids ivation here is intentional, individualized, and persistent.
  • Reducing a weekly target so a child can meet it. If a student falls behind, the solution is coaching the student, not adjusting the goal.
  • Grading homework, conducting standardized test preparation, or handling parent outreach. Campus Leads manage parent-facing responsibilities, and the other tasks do not exist here.
