Legacy Charter School is now accepting applications for a licensed Classroom Teacher. The Classroom Teacher provides scholars with high‑quality, standards‑based instruction rooted in engaging, culturally relevant, and data‑informed pedagogy. Teachers create strong classroom communities, build meaningful relationships with scholars and families, and focus deeply on academic growth and scholar success.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide high‑quality instruction that is standards‑based, engaging, rigorous, and culturally relevant
  • Use assessment data to inform instruction and support scholar growth
  • Develop positive and productive relationships within the classroom community and with staff members and Legacy families
  • Create a safe and productive learning environment through strong classroom routines and procedures
  • Implement restorative practices and support scholars’ social‑emotional learning
  • Demonstrate respect for diverse people, ideas, and perspectives
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute positively to the school community
  • Excel in a fast‑paced and multi‑faced charter school environment with grace, collaboration, and a solutions‑oriented approach

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited four‑year college or university
  • Two or more years of full‑time teaching experience, ideally in an urban school setting

Compensation

Salary Range: $54,000 – $95,000+ per year. Based on experience and qualifications.
