Job Type: Independent Contractor, part-time
Salary: $20-25/hour (commensurate with experience)
Reports To: Summer Camp Director
Start Date: May 25, 2026
Location: 2101 S. Wabash Ave., Chicago, IL, 60616
Hours: 8am-4pm (some days may shift to 10am-6pm)
Kalapriya is seeking a summer camp assistant for our 2026 summer programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Assist the camp director and camp instructors throughout the day with various classes and activities.
- Prepare the studio each day for the arriving campers.
- Maintain regular communication with parents of campers.
- Escort campers to all off-site activities with the camp director.
- Other duties as assigned by camp director.
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience working with children between the ages of 5-13.
- Experience working in a camp environment a plus.
- Strong understanding and appreciation of South Asian cultures, languages, and traditions (preferred).
- Must complete a background check and provide professional references upon request.
