School Social Worker - St. Andrew - Chicago - Vic. II

The Archdiocese of Chicago Catholic schools serve more than 40,000 students in 150+ elementary and high schools in Cook and Lake counties. Saint Andrew School is seeking a compassionate, mission-driven School Social Worker to join our Student Services team. Rooted in the values of Catholic education, this role supports the social, emotional, and behavioral well‑being of students in grades PreK–8 and helps foster a nurturing, faith‑filled school community. This opportunity is for the 2026‑2027 school year.

Key Responsibilities
:

  • Provide individual and small group counseling to support student well‑being
  • Support and help implement Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) curriculum in PreK–8 classrooms
  • Collaborate with teachers, administration, and the Student Services team to support student needs
  • Partner with families to provide guidance and connect them with resources
  • Assist with student evaluations and the testing process
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records and documentation
  • Support crisis response and promote a positive school climate grounded in Catholic values

Qualifications:

  • Master of Social Work (MSW) or related degree required
  • State licensure or eligibility for licensure
  • Experience working with children; school setting preferred
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to the mission and values of Catholic education

This position has an annualized salary range of $39,000.00 - $50,000.00. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on many factors including but not limited to: relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
