Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and dedicated School Psychologist to join our team in the welcoming community of Homewood, IL. As a School Psychologist, you will play a crucial role in supporting the academic and emotional well-being of students. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student success. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, academic, social, and emotional functioning.
  • Interpret assessment results and provide recommendations to teachers, administrators, and parents to support students' individual needs and educational goals.
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to develop and implement strategies that enhance students' academic performance and social-emotional development.
  • Provide individual and group counseling to address students' behavioral, social, and emotional challenges.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans for students with special needs.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to review student progress and collaborate on intervention strategies.
  • Provide crisis intervention and support during emergencies or critical incidents.
  • Collaborate with community resources and external agencies to coordinate services and support for students and families.
  • Conduct research and stay informed about best practices in the field of school psychology.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and consultations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in School Psychology or a related field.
  • Valid School Psychologist license or certification in Illinois.
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
  • Familiarity with special education laws and processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
