Soliant Education is looking for a passionate and skilled Special Education Teacher to join a dedicated team in a school setting in Illinois for a summer contract.
This contract position involves working in a resource setting, providing tailored support and specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
- Provide targeted instruction and interventions in a resource setting.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to support each student's academic, social, and emotional growth.
- Use a variety of instructional strategies and tools to meet the unique needs of each student.
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, making adjustments to instruction as needed to achieve IEP goals.
- Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that fosters student success.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
- Valid Illinios teaching certification in Special Education.
- Previous experience working with students in a resource setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
