Are you a Director-Qualified Early Childhood Educator who loves teaching but is also ready to grow into a leadership role?

The Goddard School of Chicago – West Loop is seeking an exceptional educator to join our team in a unique dual‑role position that combines classroom excellence with leadership development.

As our Lead Preschool/Pre‑K Teacher, you will inspire young learners while partnering with our leadership team to support school operations. This role offers the opportunity to take on administrative responsibilities, gain hands‑on leadership experience, and grow within our organization.

In this dual role, you will:
  • Lead a high‑quality Preschool or Pre‑K classroom and implement an engaging curriculum.
  • Support school leadership with administrative responsibilities, daily operations, and family engagement as needed.
  • Assist with school marketing initiatives, social media content, community outreach, and special events.
  • Build strong relationships with families and represent our school within the West Loop community.
  • Collaborate with our leadership team to promote excellence in education and customer experience.

Qualifications
  • Associate or Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred.
  • 1–2 years of previous experience preferred.
  • Has successfully completed state‑required pre‑service training.
  • Develops relationships and communicates effectively with children, parents, and faculty members.
  • Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi‑tasking to ensure smooth school operations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations. For Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib.
  • Meets background check eligibility.
