Travel School Psychologist
Soliant Education | Education Industry Position | School Year Contract
Position Overview
Soliant Education is seeking dedicated Travel School Psychologists for multiple full-time contract opportunities across the United States during the school year. These school-based assignments support K-12 students through comprehensive psychological services that promote academic achievement, social-emotional growth, and overall student well-being. Professionals who enjoy exploring new communities while making a meaningful impact in educational settings are encouraged to apply.
Current travel opportunities are available throughout Illinois, New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Nebraska, Alaska, and South Dakota. Assignments vary by district and may include elementary, middle school, high school, or district-wide caseloads. Specific details regarding student populations, evaluation responsibilities, and service delivery expectations will be discussed during the interview process.
Compensation and Benefits
All opportunities are full-time positions with a minimum of 30 hours per week throughout the school year, which is approximately 36 weeks in duration. Compensation packages include competitive hourly rates combined with tax-free travel stipends for eligible travelers. Weekly earnings typically range from $1,300 to $2,300 depending on assignment location, experience level, educational background, and other qualifying factors.
Soliant Education also offers a comprehensive benefits package for contracted employees. Benefits include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and weekly pay. Compensation details and travel package eligibility will be reviewed during the initial screening process.
Responsibilities
Travel School Psychologists provide evaluation, assessment, consultation, and intervention services in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines. Responsibilities may include conducting psycho educational evaluations, participating in eligibility and IEP meetings, interpreting assessment data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support student success. Professionals may also assist with behavioral interventions, crisis response, and social-emotional programming as needed.
Additional duties vary by assignment and district needs. School Psychologists are expected to maintain accurate documentation, communicate effectively with families and educational teams, and support compliance with special education regulations and timelines.
Requirements
Applicants must hold an active School Psychologist license, certification, or credential in at least one U.S. state. Candidates must also be eligible to obtain credentials in the state associated with the assignment if they do not already possess them. Soliant recruiters will assist qualified applicants with information regarding state licensure requirements and reciprocity processes when applicable.
Previous experience conducting psycho educational evaluations and participating in IEP processes is strongly preferred. Candidates should possess strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with the flexibility to adapt to different educational environments and student populations.
Hiring Process
Qualified applicants will complete an initial phone screening with a Soliant Education recruiter before being submitted to partnering school districts for consideration. During this conversation, candidates can discuss state preferences, grade-level interests, travel goals, and desired work settings. District interviews will be scheduled based on candidate qualifications and assignment availability.
