Resource Special Education Teacher Upcoming

Job Description

Multiple teaching positions open. Resource classroom. August 2024 to Mid-November 2024 Contract (FMLA). Will be responsible managing and providing services of 16 students. Located Near Oak Park, IL. On-site Only!

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) based on student needs and goals
• Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and materials to accommodate different learning styles and abilities
• Collaborate with general education teachers and other professionals to ensure students receive appropriate accommodations and modifications in the classroom
• Conduct ongoing assessments and progress monitoring to evaluate student growth and adjust instruction as needed
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and communication with parents/guardians and other team members
• Attend and participate in team meetings, professional development, and other school-related activities as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience working with students with special needs in a school setting
• Knowledge of special education laws and regulations
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds
