- Part‑time program hours:
Mon‑Fri 6:30 AM‑9:00 AM and/or 3:00 PM‑6:00 PM (may vary slightly) - Pay: $15‑$18 per hour (based on education and experience)
- Location:
Lemont, IL – after‑school area site locations
- At least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- At least six months of experience working with children 5‑13 years of age in a formal group childcare setting (preferred)
- Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills
- Works well in a team environment
- At least one year of experience working with children under 13 years of age
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
- Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed
- Ability to meet state‑specific requirements
- First Aid and CPR in‑person certification
- Cleared tuberculosis test
- Proof of high school diploma/GED required
- Lead daily program meetings: review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration and team accountability.
- Organize and facilitate daily activities: prepare activities and curriculum for the day, ensuring alignment with the program’s objectives. Lead structured daily fitness, activities and curriculum that are both educational and enjoyable for all ages.
- Model a safe and nurturing environment, demonstrating positive guidance and effective classroom management while children enjoy themselves and meet program goals.
- Prioritize safety and joy: monitor environment, address potential hazards, follow all safety protocols, document attendance, incidents and other observations.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff and school personnel.
