Holy Angels Catholic School is seeking a collaborative and engaging Middle School Math Teacher committed to academic excellence and student growth. The program uses Connected Math 4 (Michigan State University), emphasizing problem‑solving, critical thinking, and real‑world application of mathematical concepts. Strong classroom management and the ability to build positive relationships with students and families are essential. Illinois licensure is preferred, but novice teachers are encouraged to apply.
Bilingual candidates and those willing to support extracurricular or after‑school programs are welcomed. Additional stipends may be available for coaching and club sponsorship opportunities.
- Teach middle school mathematics in alignment with Catholic doctrine and moral teachings.
- Serve as a role model for students’ religious formation and represent the Archdiocese and Catholic Church in all teaching activities.
- Understand, teach, and act consistently with the Catholic school’s mission, philosophy, goals, and policies.
- Complete required Catholic identity formation training and other professional development mandated by the Archdiocese.
- Lead or participate in religious instruction, ceremonies, rituals, and other activities as directed by the principal.
- Communicate regularly with students, parents/guardians, colleagues, and the principal.
- Participate in required professional development, faculty and staff meetings, and school‑related activities.
- Maintain accurate student attendance and academic records.
- Create and maintain a safe, orderly, and secure learning environment.
- Participate in annual performance reviews.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding school personnel, students, and general school matters.
- Represent the school in all school and parish events, including extracurricular activities, in a positive manner.
- Complete additional tasks assigned by the principal as required by the position.
- Practice Catholic (preferred; required for religion teachers).
- Meet compliance with safe environment requirements.
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree.
- Hold valid state licensure for the grade/subject area (preferred; not required).
- Complete Catholic identity formation training.

- Teaching Licensure (PEL), if applicable.
- Acceptance in alternative licensure program, if applicable.

Salary range: $38,527–$68,776 for a lay employee and $35,686–$62,316 for a religious employee. Pay is based on education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and organizational needs.
