Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • The Project Manager is responsible for and assists with implementing the Cities curriculum across the designated schools. Supports recruitment of university student mentors and middle school student mentees for the program, and serves as the primary point of contact for mentees, mentors, and facilitators, as well as the liaison between partner schools and community programs. Support facilitation and community engagement across partner CPS schools.
  • Build and nurture connection between research and implementation teams.
  • Serve as primary school liaison at both CPS schools and build systems of sustainability.
  • Support development of presentations and papers as available.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by the Primary and Co-Investigator and Director of Family Services.
  • Help to supervise undergraduate student Fellows and DFS interns on the project.
Minimum Education and Work Experience
  • Minimum of Bachelor’s degree in related field and at least two years of relevant experience or combination of advanced degree and experience.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 1 yr of experience in social work preferred
  • Experience working with children preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with peers, school staff, and young adults
  • Must be able to meet deadlines while maintaining a flexible schedule to accommodate the curriculum and part-time role
  • Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within the parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
  • Ability to initiate tasks as needed.

  • Ability to commute to designated schools
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards
