Lead Infant Room Teacher
Rend Lake College seeks a full-time Lead Infant Room Teacher for the RLC Foundation Children’s Center. The Children’s Center is located on the Ina campus. This individual will develop curriculum and developmentally appropriate activities for young children; maintain regulations in classroom according to DCFS, ISBE, Public Health and the State Fire Marshal; maintain criteria to meet Excelerate Illinois standards; adhere to center policies and procedures;
supervise select students; coordinate daily activities and develop curriculum in coordination with the Early Childhood Education instructional program; maintain records for children, adult students and program; maintain a clean, organized and safe classroom. Must have the physical and mental capabilities to work with small children.
- Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development from an accredited institution required.
- Experience providing child care to infant children strongly preferred.
- Candidates must possess the Illinois Gateways Infant / Toddler & Early Childhood Credentials.
- CPR Certification (Infant and Child) or ability to obtain.
- Good communication skills.
- Participate as team member in coordinating program.
- Position is subject to DCFS background check approval.
- All candidates will be required to successfully pass a background screening process.
- Salary: $35,000 or as negotiated.
