Community Outreach Program Manager

We are looking for a Community Outreach Program Manager to develop and manage community-based programs that enhance Loyola student learning and formation through service, social justice, and civic engagement. The role supports Loyola’s mission and the strategic plan of the Division of Mission Integration.

Position Overview

Responsibilities include leading student engagement in local service opportunities, building relationships with community partners, overseeing student leadership development, designing reflection and holistic learning, supporting social justice education, and managing marketing and public engagement.

Responsibilities
  • Program Management: manage direct service programs (e.g., Loyola4

    Chicago, St. Thomas of Canterbury Soup Kitchen Outreach, Saturday of Service); recruit, train, and support student participants; handle logistics, communication, and record keeping; oversee risk management policies and reflection integration; assess and report learning outcomes.
  • Student Leadership Development: recruit and train student leaders; engage leaders in Jesuit mission education; facilitate CSA Mentor Program; support further leadership development opportunities.
  • Community Partner Engagement: maintain existing partnerships, evaluate success, open/close partnerships, connect partners with university departments, track engagement opportunities.
  • Marketing and Public Engagement: manage departmental marketing with student-focused social media; craft storytelling; collect and use data; manage student consultations.
  • Other Duties: support social justice and civic engagement programming, assist with general CSA initiatives, reporting, campus partner collaborations, and other assigned tasks.
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; master’s degree strongly preferred.
  • At least 3–5 years of related experience and/or training.
Qualifications
  • Master’s Degree in Education, Social Work, Pastoral Theology, or related field.
  • Ability to work effectively with undergraduate students holistically.
  • Knowledge of Ignatian tradition, Jesuit values, and the university mission.
  • Practitioner in reflection and discernment experiences.
  • Experience in higher education or community engagement (2–3 years).
  • Understanding and practice of impactful community collaborations.
  • Proficiency in social media applications and content development.
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Skilled interpersonal communication and partnership-building.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficient computer skills: data and web content management, graphic design.
Certificates, Licenses and Driver’s License

Valid driver’s license and computer skills (Microsoft Suite, CMS software) required.
