Position Summary
The Chicago School is seeking an experienced Educational Specialist and PsyD in School Psychology Programs (NASP approved and APA accredited on contingency) to teach 14‑week courses via Canvas LMS.
Common courses include:
- Psycho‑education
- Assessment
- Cognitive or Achievement Behavior Assessment
- Clinical Interviewing
- Diversity for Clinical Practice
- Systems Theory and Practice
- Neurodiversity/Psychopathology

Principal Duties- Enrich courses by sharing theoretical and practical knowledge and encouraging direct application to the workplace.
- Be available and responsive to students five out of seven days during the term, including active discussion forum participation, announcements, timely grading, and virtual office hours.
- Post a welcome message outlining weekly office hours.
- Respond to each student’s initial post in a discussion forum.
- Grade quizzes and provide feedback on short assignments within 48 hours.
- Grade larger assignments within 3 days after the due date.
- Respond to all student emails within 24 hours.
- Issue final grades on time.
- Doctoral degree in School Psychology or a related discipline.
- Professional license if relevant to the coursework.
- Experience in the field of education.
- Exemplary professional experience and previous teaching or mentoring experience.
- Engagement in research and scholarship.
- Commitment to student‑centeredness, professional development, scholarship, integrity, ethics, respect for diversity and pluralism, innovation, flexibility, teamwork, and collaboration.
- Strong interest in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion through teaching, scholarship, and service.
Payment is $1,124–$1,540 per credit, varying with course enrollment. Benefits include generous paid time‑off, medical and dental insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, retirement plan with employer contribution, flexible spending accounts, and tuition reimbursement.
