Summaryof Position
Responsible for the education and general development of the community children enrolled in the agency’s Child Care Program, implementing the curriculum per Child Care standards, educational plan, and the agency's philosophy.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Provide a learning environment for children that will help to promote learning through all developmental areas: physical, social‑emotional, and intellectual.
- Develop and implement weekly lessons focusing on literacy, math, and science to provide a "child-centered environment" that includes individualized activities, small and large group activities.
- Report children’s progress through scheduled interviews and conferences, home visits, and written evaluations.
- Complete required classroom paperwork as needed, including lesson plans, child observations, home visits, and parent/teacher conference reports.
- Maintain effective and professional relationships with parents, staff members, and children.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism at all times during working hours and when representing the agency.
- Plan and implement appropriate activities following the creative curriculum and the Center Philosophy. Adapting the curriculum and directing instruction to meet individual needs.
- Attend and participate in all Field Trips, Parents meetings, Evaluations, Training, Fundraisers, Program Recruitment Events, and Conferences.
- Creating and maintaining a classroom environment that is well organized, clean, and attractive, and arranging the classroom to meet the needs of each child.
OSHA Category 1 – Involves regular exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, and tasks that involve exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues are not a condition of employment.
Work Environment and Physical Abilities- Exposed to loud noises.
- Change diapers.
- Frequently exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
- Requires regular talking, hearing, standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, or balancing, and representative wrist, hand, and/or finger movement.
- Occasionally required to lift weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Requires a highly demanding level of attention.

Salary$22.00 Per Hour
Skills- Knowledge of Early Intervention.
- Ability to present information about the agency on the agency’s behalf.
- Ability to apply common sense, analyze data, and interpret results, yielding varying outcomes.
Associate degree in ECE/Child Development or Infant and Toddlers CDA Credential.
ExperienceA minimum of two years of job‑related prior experience.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
