Course/Start date Fall 2026 General Responsibilities- Teaching responsibilities include courses in Web design, Digital Media design and image processing.
- Design courses to meet learning outcomes and promote students’ active participation in their learning.
- Create an effective learning environment that fosters students’ intellectual curiosity and helps students problem‑solve using discipline‑specific thinking strategies.
- Employ a variety of formative and summative assessments to ensure classroom instruction leads to student learning and attainment of learning outcomes.
- Help students reach their academic, personal and career goals and foster a safe environment that respects diversity, models respect, and conveys confidence in every student’s ability to learn.
- Contribute to and provide leadership in the student’s academic and professional communities, and promote collaboration and teamwork among members.
- Master’s Degree/MFA in interactive design, new media or related discipline required.
- Professional experience/expertise in design/web design or related field (4 years industry or business experience; portfolio required).
- Special consideration may be given to candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in interactive design, new media or related discipline and 10+ years of professional industry or business experience in web design/development demonstrated through CV, portfolio and work samples.
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite:
Dreamweaver, Illustrator, Photoshop, Animate; HTML, HTML5, CSS, Bootstrap & JQuery. - Previous teaching experience in an academic environment.
- Knowledge of Brightspace, preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to communicate with a diverse group of staff and students.
- Experience with a diverse, multi‑lingual student population is desired; commitment to the open access mission of the community college.

Salary: $800.00 per contact hour. Offered salary will be determined by the applicant’s education, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as other factors such as internal equity. Benefits include health and welfare benefit package, long‑term savings and investment programs (403(b) & 457(b) investment plans, pension plan with State University Retirement System (SURS) plan), generous vacation, holiday, personal and sick days, tuition reimbursement.
