Position Overview

The Senior Enrollment Specialist serves as a key member of the enrollment and student affairs team responsible for recruiting, engaging, and supporting prospective Master of Nursing (MN) students throughout the admissions and enrollment process. The role advances the strategic enrollment goals of the School by cultivating prospective student relationships, guiding applicants through the admissions process, supporting recruitment initiatives, and facilitating the successful transition of admitted students into the program.

Duties

and Responsibilities
  • Guide and support prospective students throughout the application and enrollment process; advise on program options, admissions requirements, timelines, and enrollment procedures.
  • Manage incomplete applications, coordinate with the Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, MN Program Director, faculty, and relevant university offices to support students’ transition toward enrollment.
  • Review application files, evaluate prerequisite coursework, screen candidates for appropriateness, and proactively communicate with prospective students to encourage application completion and enrollment.
  • Identify trends within the applicant pool and provide feedback to support recruitment, conversion, and matriculation strategies.
  • Assist with the development, implementation, assessment, and continuous improvement of recruitment and communication plans designed to enroll a qualified and diverse incoming student cohort.
  • Participate in recruitment activities, including representing Loyola University Chicago and MNSON at recruitment events, information sessions, open houses, conferences, meetings, and individual advising appointments.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining recruitment and communication materials, including outreach messaging, prospect communication workflows, websites, and related enrollment resources.
  • Assist with onboarding and orientation activities for admitted students to support student engagement, retention, and belonging.
  • Collaborate with the University Office of Graduate and Professional Enrollment Management (GPEM) regarding recruitment and admissions processes, ensuring admitted students receive timely registration and onboarding information.
  • Utilize university admissions systems and customer relationship management (CRM) platforms to maintain records, generate enrollment reports, monitor applicant data, and support enrollment planning.
  • Provide technical and operational support to program leadership, faculty, and staff related to enrollment systems and processes.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of enrollment management strategies that support established application, admission, yield, and enrollment goals for the MN program.
  • Work collaboratively across the Marcella Niehoff School of Nursing and with university partners to support enrollment and student success initiatives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in higher education admissions, recruitment, enrollment management, student advising, or a related area.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and organizational communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals across all levels of the university.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Commitment to student‑centered service and support.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Affairs, Counseling, College Student Personnel, or a related field.
  • Experience with graduate or professional student recruitment and enrollment.
  • Experience using admissions databases, CRM systems, and enrollment reporting tools.
  • Familiarity with nursing or healthcare education environments preferred.
