Position: Laboratory Schools: World Language Teacher, One Year Only

Spanish Teacher

The candidate will be capable of teaching Spanish in grades 9-12, including advanced high school courses.

Responsibilities:
  • The teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues across faculties and departments, as well as parents, administrators, and other members of the school staff.
  • The candidate will exhibit knowledge and competence in a broad range of pedagogical techniques and best practices in world language instruction, including the use of technology in the world language classroom.
  • All teachers are expected to perform in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • The anticipated start date for this position is 8/24/2026.

Education, Experience, or

Certifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.

Experience:

  • Two years of experience teaching World Languages in high school required.
  • Fluency in Spanish required.
  • Fluency in English required.
  • Bilingualism in Spanish and French preferred.
  • Experience developing curriculum preferred.
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to move in and around the classroom/building to interact with students, faculty, staff, parents, and other members of the community.
  • Ability to move class-related equipment/tools, as appropriate, around school property.
Pay Range:
  • $74,968.00 - $
