Outreach And Enrollment Specialist

As an Outreach and Enrollment Specialist you will be responsible conducting recruitment activities that provide prospective students with a high-touch holistic customer-focused experience through the enrollment pipeline. As a successful candidate, you can be described as dedicated to supporting students through the college access process.

You are energetic and passionate about working with a diverse student body that includes many first-generation students. Additionally, you are committed to building authentic relationships with a variety of stakeholders (e.g., student, parents, school counselors and NLU colleagues) and have a deep seeded belief that all students have the right to a high quality college education. The current position opening is for the Northwest Suburban territories, primarily serving students for our Wheeling campus.

Responsibilities
  • Account Management for High Schools:
    Build and maintain relationships with high school leadership and critical personnel within an assigned territory of schools. Conduct outreach activities and events to promote National Louis University within the high schools to ensure the university is being properly recommended to graduating seniors. Maintain records of all activities and key contacts.
  • Group Presentations and Events:
    Conduct presentations to groups of high school students in their classrooms at high school to promote inquiries and applications. Host on campus events for students including open houses, admit day, orientations, and start of class.
  • Managing Pipeline of Incoming Students:
    Conduct individual student appointments and group admissions events to guide prospective students through the process of becoming a student at National Louis University through a variety of stages from inquiry to start, including FAFSA processing and helping the students maintain their commitments and interest.
  • Monitor systems tasks list to ensure all inquires and tasks are completed in a timely manner. Accurately document and record each contact using the CRM system to ensure a smooth transition of applicant data.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree, strongly preferred. Those without a degree but with significant experience directly related to the role will also be considered
  • Bilingual in Spanish, preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a sales or customer service related position
  • Working knowledge of technology including Microsoft Office Systems, CRMs (i.e. Salesforce), and social media tools
  • Ability to travel throughout the suburbs and city of Chicago
  • Ability to work periodic evenings and weekends as needed
  • Engaging communication style (both verbal and written) including connecting with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (i.e. students, parents, faculty, advisors, administrators, etc.)
  • Goal oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
  • Thrives in a collaborative team environment that promotes open communication and idea-sharing
