Description:
Early Childhood Substitute Teacher
Reports to:
Site Director
Status:
Exempt
Position Objective:
Assist classroom teachers to determine the needs and provide for the development of children birth through five. Work to create a safe environment for children. Implement and maintain all components regarding children birth through five, based on EHS, State Pre-K, Child Care and state and local requirements.
Qualifications:
Strong alignment with Christopher House's Values and Mission;
Strong work ethic coupled with a proactive problem-solving approach;
Passion for working with children;
Bi-lingual skills in English/Spanish is desirable
Education:
High School Diploma or GED Degree
This is a temporary position. Candidates must be willing to work a minimum of 20 hours a week and form a consistent schedule, agreed upon with their supervisor. Substitute teachers do not qualify for benefits or vacation accruals.
