The Continuing Education team at Kennedy-King College is community-focused, innovative, and committed to offering accessible wellness and enrichment opportunities beyond traditional academic courses.

Kennedy-King College is seeking a knowledgeable and passionate part‑time Continuing Education Instructor to teach a Wine and Spirit Making course in partnership with Wild Blossom Meadery. This unique experiential learning opportunity allows students to gain hands‑on exposure to the craft beverage industry through instruction delivered by industry professionals utilizing commercial equipment and production facilities.

The ideal candidate brings extensive expertise in wine and spirit production and a commitment to creating engaging, industry‑relevant learning experiences that expand access to career pathways for diverse student populations.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality instruction in wine and spirit making, including production processes, fermentation, bottling, quality control, and related industry practices.
  • Facilitate hands‑on learning experiences in partnership with industry professionals and community partners.
  • Create an engaging classroom and laboratory environment that promotes student learning and participation.
  • Ensure instructional activities align with college policies, procedures, and Continuing Education standards.
  • Maintain accurate attendance, student records, and course documentation.
  • Foster a safe and inclusive learning environment for students of varying backgrounds and experience levels.
  • Support student success by providing practical, industry‑informed guidance and mentorship.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Demonstrated expertise in wine and spirit making, including all phases of production and bottling.
  • Significant professional experience within the wine, spirits, mead, brewing, fermentation, or related beverage industries.
  • Ability to effectively teach adult learners in both classroom and experiential settings.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to student engagement, equity, and workforce development.

Salary Range: $35-$65 per hour
