Job Description Summary
- Chicago State University (CSU), is the oldest public university in the Chicago metropolitan area. Chicago State University is Illinois' only four-year U.S. Department of Education-designated Predominantly Black Institution (PBI). CSU serves over 1,500 undergraduate students and nearly 900 graduate students. The university is a nationally accredited university with five colleges in Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Health Sciences and Pharmacy and proudly supports a diverse and non-traditional student population that hails from 28 countries and 36 states.

Required Education
- PhD, EdD, Psy D in Counselor Education & Supervision, Counseling Psychology, or Related Field.
Required Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of and content expertise/competency in counseling diverse populations. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving acumen. Ability to proactively identify challenges and barriers to stated objective and employ assistance in addressing these. Demonstration of Emotional Intelligence and professional maturity. Research experience and abilities. Strong communication acumen including written, oral, and listening. Ability to collaborate and work as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Independent Licensure required. Minimum one year experience teaching at the graduate level, preferably in a CACREP program. Experience working with diverse populations.
