Required CertificationsIL PEL with LBS1 Certification or PEL General Education Teacher Certification with willingness to obtain LBS1

- Pay range: $59,000 - $70,000 per year.

- Teach a Life‑Skills curriculum in a self‑contained classroom (max size 10 students).
- Manage classroom sizes at or near 10 students with paraprofessional support; currently smaller.
- Provide a differentiated learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with staff, including curriculum and clinical staff to yield positive results for students.
- Customize personalized learning.
- Create a social‑emotional learning environment.
- Professional Educator's License (PEL) with LBS1 (Special Education Teacher) certification or PEL with Secondary Education and desire to obtain LBS
1. - Ability to teach a self‑contained classroom across all basic instructional areas.
- Experience working with youth with emotional/behavioral/academic difficulties.
- Flexibility, teamwork, and creative problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to speak and write clearly and persuasively.
